About Mumbles Eco Cabs
Mumbles Eco cabs is the only private hire taxi operator in Wales with cars licensed to carry a maximum of two passengers. This allows us to use slightly smaller cars with huge environmental benefits.
It also allows us to save our customers money compared to current City & County of Swansea hackney carriages and most private hire taxi businesses in Swansea.
Before Mumbles Eco Cabs existed all taxis in Wales had to be licensed to carry a minimum of 4 passengers, sometimes up to 8. That meant that customers travelling alone or as a pair were;
1. Paying more money than they should
2. Using more fuel than they needed
Now there is a choice. By choosing Mumbles Eco Cabs you are able to save yourself up to 20% off the cost of your journey and help to save the environment!
We also operate an environmentally friendly 4 seater taxi which means that if there are more than 2 passengers travelling together you can still save 10% off standard taxi prices and help the environment!

Information on Travelling With Us
WHO WILL WE TRANSPORT?
Our Citroen C3's are licensed to carry up to 2 passengers only. City & County bye-laws state that everyone from a new born baby to a 200 year old person are counted as passengers so we must be strict on this. Any attempt to carry more passengers than we are licensed to will invalidate our insurance so please do not ask us to carry more people than we are licensed and insured to carry.
Our Citroen C3 Picasso can carry a maximum of 4 passengers and the same rules as above apply.
DISABLED PASSENGERS
Unfortunately we are not equipped to carry passengers who are wheelchair bound. If you are able to sit in a passenger seat and have a carer with you then we will be able to accommodate a standard wheelchair in the boot of the car.
DO YOU CARRY DOGS?
Yes please! Though we can only carry one at a time.
OTHER ANIMALS
We will be happy to carry most domestic pets but they must be securely caged.
